Summary:
  • The Chief Finance Officer will lead the finance function of the organization and have oversight for monitoring her financial affairs. 

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the principal executive accountable for financial strategy development and execution in the Company and is responsible for ensuring the integration of both operational and financial measures aimed at efficiency, growth and profitability of the business in the long-term. 
  • Ensures adequacy of funding/ liquidity for the business and effective treasury management activities. This includes ensuring the provision of detailed financial data, as well as relevant, accurate and prompt analysis with recommendations required for daily financing decisions. Budgeting, financial performance monitoring and reporting are also key functions. 
  • Effectively manage the acquisition, use, maintenance and disposal of all capital and financial assets of the Company.  
  • The CFO will also be the effective liaison between the Company and its fund managers. 
 
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Minimum of 10 years working experience in a structured environment with at least 5 years as a departmental head.
  • A good first degree with a minimum 2nd Class lower in any discipline and an appropriate accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, ACMA, CPA etc). 
  • Possession of a Masters or MBA degree will be an added advantage.

5. Financial Accountant

We are a Production company situated in Ogun State.  

Responsibilities:
  • The job originates from the need to coordinate the recording of all Financial transactions of the company and present periodic statement of affairs.
  • The job holder needs to be conversant with the company’s policies and procedures, accounting standards and relevant statutory regulations as relates to the business of the company. Reporting to the Financial Accountant are the following job positions: Payable officer, Petty Cash/ Fixed Assets officer, and account Officers. 
  • The job holder monitors the following performance indicators of the company and reports any deviation in: Turnover, profitability ratio, Liquidity ratio, working capital and debt equity ratio.
  • Ensure that all control  accounts, bank and  cash balances, fixed assets, receivables and payable accounts, salaries, insurance, export  and pension are regularly updated  and  reconciled monthly in order to achieve  accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure daily  posting  of all  financial  transactions  and  supervises extraction  of  monthly  trial  balance in good time in order to prepare periodic management accounts.
  • To facilitate treasury dept.  to pay accurate amount to parties and to act as a control point before payment by way of preparation of cheque requisition in order to ensure that payments are properly authorized.
  • Authorize payment of Petty Cash including advances if any and maintain fixed asset register in order to safeguard company’s assets (both liquid and fixed assets).

Responsibilities:

  • Process and post all account payables and receivables; and all month end deliverables within the monthly reporting timelines.
  • Prepare trend analysis of Capex, Opex and revenue transactions, all General Ledger/Sub- ledger Accounts reconciliation, as well as weekly and monthly performance reports.
  • Raise and post journal vouchers and other financial transactions in the ERP system, resolve all reconciling items promptly and maintain set departmental filing system.

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • B.Sc./HND in any discipline, but a finance related degree is desirable. Part qualification in any recognised professional accounting examinations (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA, etc) will be an added advantage
  • At least 4 years experience comprising:
  • 3 years post NYSC experience in a Finance function

Responsibilities:
  • Act as a point of contact with auditors
  • Perform analytical review of the monthly income statement.
  • Review data posted into the Operating Expenses accounts for accuracy and to ensure they impact the correct accounts.
  • Raise manual journals to correct any error discovered during the review mentioned above.
  • Review asset/liability accounts to ascertain their completeness, accuracy, valuation and existence 
  • Ensure accurate reporting of management fees
  • Prepare financial statements for statutory purposes and internal reporting (MIS).
  • Follow up and escalate issues from statutory audits.
  • Identify and escalate needs from the ERP system.
